Why we need your information
Your telephone number and email address as supplied to BikeHQ.co.uk as part of an online advertisement will form part of the advertisement itself, to enable potential purchasers to contact the vendor. Postcodes and details of motorcycle make/model are collected to allow us to help purchases narrow the parameters of their search by viewing vehicles within a distance from any preferred location, and/or from a particular manufacturer.
Motorcycle traders (as opposed to private vendors) who have subscribed to a BikeHQ.co.uk membership package may need to provide credit card information. Such data is used only to enable payment processing. BikeHQ.co.uk will not keep any credit card information whatsoever.
Email addresses are required to enable us to contact you with relevant passwords, and to enable you to access you personal registration details.
We may use registration details to help us develop our business, by giving us a better understanding of the profile of our customers. We will use this information in updating and improving our service to you.
Cookie Policy
A cookie is a short piece of text that a website sends to your browser. Your browser then sends this back to the website as you visit different pages. The website can use this short piece of text to enhance your experience whilst browsing. Cookies come in two flavours; normal cookies are stored on your computer between browsing sessions, and are often used to pre-fill login, password information etc. "Session cookies" are short term only, and disappear once you close your web browser, or after a long period of inactivity. These session cookies are usually used to store a unique identification string, which the website can use to remember you last search details, form information you\\\'ve submitted etc, to make life easier. We do not use any personally identifying information in cookies. Session cookies are required for BikeHQ to function correctly, although the website will function in a limited fashion without them.
